WHAT'S UP! I'm Kevin, I started CrossFit in 2012 as a way to keep me in shape for my full time job as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Vancouver. I'm currently stationed downtown on Engine 1. My wife (Bri) and I opened ERCF in 2017. I continue to use CrossFit on a daily basis to keep me fit for my job and because it's so much fun!

I'm Alicia Bjur and I have been doing CrossFit it for 5 years now! Before CrossFit, I played basketball and volleyball. I think that is one of the reasons I love CrossFit so much, you still get that "team aspect" feeling when your in a class full of people working hard right along side of you. My most important job is being a wife and mom to my two amazing kids. Seeing members of our gym push their limits and reach their personal goals is so fulfilling and I love that I can play a small role in their success.

Sports were my entire life until adulthood. I played on all the teams as a kid, transitioned to sports specific in my teen years and went on to play basketball in college. After graduation the real world hit and I realized that I wouldn’t always be able to play games with my friends. For years I tried to recreate the feeling of being on a team, of competing next to my brothers and frankly its just hard to do when you're a real adult. Long after giving up on that dream and well into my 30s I stumbled into Crossfit. Deconditioned, pretty out of shape, and completely outside of my element, that fire was rekindled. Through ERCF I get to push myself, learn, and grow alongside an outstanding community of dedicated resilient and hardworking friends every single day. 

Now as a coach I get to give back to that same community that filled a decade long void, and help build folks that are going to thrive deep into their 90s.

My name is Aly Brown. I have been doing CrossFit since 2015. Before that, I have always had an interest in sports, fitness and nutrition.  My full time career is teaching elementary education but I have found a new passion for coaching athletes in the evening or on my days off.  I am also new mom who wants to introduce my daughter to healthy lifestyle at an early age. I love motivating others to push themselves outside their limits and helping others to reach their fitness goals.

Hey! I'm Tracy Fox, and I love CrossFit! I've been doing it since 2015, and I wish I would've tried it sooner. There is something so satisfying about smashing a WOD or just knowing that you gave it your all for those few minutes. For my day job, I work as a Business Optimization Leader for a manufacturing company in Vancouver, but I look forward to the days I coach class. As a single mom of two small children, CrossFit affords me the balance I need to stay on the top of my game at home and at work. There is nothing like the community that's built around a box, and ERCF has become my family!

Hey! I'm Mitch, I'm a former college athlete and baseball coach. I found CrossFit in 2016 and fell in love with it instantly! I was so burnt out from home workouts and the globo gym scene. CrossFit woke me back up and reminded me what it was like to be an athlete! I love the community aspect of CrossFit and how the gym feels like one giant team.  We are all here to push each other, share in the pain of an awesome workout, and celebrate those gains :) When I'm not at the gym I'm either working as school counselor or hanging out with my wife Kelley and our three kids (all under the age of five!).

Hi, I’m Janeen Schafer, I started CrossFit the beginning of 2014, but I have always had a passion for sports, lifting weights, and working out. I have played sports since a young age, but in high school I took our school weightlifting class and fell in love with the barbell. I have always worked in the fitness industry starting with a large chain gym for 12 years. Once I tried my first CrossFit class I was hooked, and it was love at first class. I received my level 1 certification and never looked back. I love helping members better their lives regardless of their goals, whether it be to simply improve their quality of life or to become a competitive athlete.

Hi guys! I'm Coach Kelly. My husband, 2 kids and I live in Ridgefield on our "mini farm". Outside the gym, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and watching my kids do their sports. I discovered Crossfit in 2017 and became hooked early on. I did tennis and gymnastics in my youth. I love helping athletes achieve their goals and watch their confidence rise as they do things they never thought possible. I look forward to seeing new and old faces everyday. We have a strong community at our gym and I'm honored to be apart of that.

Hey! I’m Sara and I started my crossfit journey in 2015 but after a year of CF life threw some unexpected challenges my way and I took a couple years off. In 2018 I found ERCF and I’ve been hooked ever since. Growing up I tried and played all the different sports but stuck with playing competitive soccer year around and also did track in high school. Before and during my time doing crossfit I have trained for half marathons, marathons and half iron mans. At heart I’ll always be an endurance athlete but crossfit is becoming a passion. I am always up for a challenge; I enjoy pushing my mind and body to see what it’s capable of. Coaching crossfit has been a great opportunity for me to expand my knowledge while also teaching and encouraging others to reach their goals. Outside of the gym I enjoy running, spending time with my family, cheering on my kids from the sidelines, being outdoors and exploring all the places.

My name is Haley Voss.  I began my fitness coaching journey in 2003 when I became a Turbo Kick Certified instructor at my local fitness gym.  Soon after, I acquired a Baby Boot Camp franchise and began focusing my fitness coaching on moms with young children.  During the 5+ years I led boot camps, I completed regular continuing education for boot camp and mom-focused fitness.  During this time, I got my Fit Tour Fitness Instructor Certification; I studied strategies which supported motherhood such as “The Tupler Technique,” and completed a certification on how to check for, and coach repair of diastasis recti (a condition experienced when the rectus abdominis muscles in the abdomen separate during pregnancy, or through improper exercise and activity, leaving a gap that allows the belly to pooch out).

I joined CrossFit in January of 2010 and quickly fell in love.  After learning everything I could about the CrossFit culture and testing for my CrossFit L1 Coaching Certification, I began coaching CrossFit classes on a regular basis . . . and the rest – as my husband says – is extremely fit history.  In addition to a super fit and healthy lifestyle – CrossFit helped me personally achieve three natural home child births, by keeping me fit and energized all the way through my pregnancy.  In fact, in each of the three pregnancies I carried during my time with CrossFit, I was able to maintain a regular workout regimen with CrossFit daily workouts right up until the week I gave birth!  After coaching CrossFit for several years part-time, I went on to earn my CrossFit L2 Coaching Certification, and in 2021 I went full-time as a CrossFit Coach and I am absolutely loving every minute of it.

What do I love most about CrossFit?  Ha – everything!  But if I had to sum it up in just a few words, it would be the group camaraderie, the health benefits, the fun, and personal growth!  I am passionate about coaching, and helping bring out the best in people who attend our CrossFit classes.  I love the fact that CrossFit workouts can be tailored for nearly everyone, no matter what stage in life they’re at.  Not only have I witnessed the value of CrossFit first-hand in coaching people of all ages (from age 8 to 80) and from all walks of life, but CrossFit has become personal, central part of the healthy, active life I enjoy with my family of seven.  I am so proud to coach CrossFit, to be able to involve my growing children in CrossFit Kids classes, and to be a part of such awesome fitness clubs where I am able to help other members grow and experience the best that a fit and healthy life has to offer.
